Simulation Modeling of Central Chilled Water Systems-ASHRAE Chicago 2012 Conference (CH-12-003)

This technical paper on simulation modeling (CH-12-003) titled Simulation Modeling Of Central Chilled Water System, was published at the ASHRAE/Chicago Conference of January 2012 in the advanced technical session one. If you registered for the conference you can go to www.ashrae.org/chicagoOline and view about 30 slide power point presentation with recorded voice. I continue to work on the presentation therefore an expanded power point presentation is below for your review. The 10 upgrades address plant upgrades and building upgrades with upgrade 10 addressing a simulation model as part of the site control/monitor system.

System Simulation Modeling–HPAC Engineering article of September 2011

A simulation model is a set of simutanious equations, solved by computer, that obeys the laws of thermodynamics and includes the part load performance of the chillers, towers and other equipment of the system. This is the fifth and final paper of this series published in HPAC Engineering September, 2011. The paper can be viewed at http://bit.ly/Nelson_5

Primary/secondary vs. Primary-only Pumping–HPAC Engineering April 2011

This is the first article of five published in HPAC Engineering to deal with the characteristics of P/S vs. P-only distribution pumping in central chilled water plants. The analysis utilizes a plant simulation model that duplicates the performance of the real system as defined by manufactures data for chillers and towers. This article was published April, 2011 and can be viewed at http://bit.ly/Nelson_1
